Random Processes
«Random Processes» represents a story on the theme of chance occurrences in one's life. This work was accomplished using the technique of sand casting. I have long enjoyed using this technique, because it is like life. What is put into it is taken out, but not always in the way one would expect. Here the main point is not to despair, but instead look attentively. Could this path unexpectedly turn into something random; something like the theory of random processes.
Grafica
In my Grafica series I study line as a means of expression. I want to create a poetic dialogue between the form and the surface graphics by combining a clear geometric form and an abstract line composition made by brush or engraving tool.
In the last pieces of this series I have replaced the line drawing with occasional graphic figure produced by the old japanese "mokume" technique.
Reflections
This collection was inspired by the iron railings of St.-Petersburg’s bridges and embankments reflected on water of the canals, on puddles and wet asphalt after rain.
My Park
«My Park» reflects my past and present observations, feelings and impressions. It is a stroll through my life - fascinating pathways, lyrical places, attractions, all found during a walk in the park.
